Hope is an active force. It is alive and it fills the world as light fills the day. It is synonymous to the air that occupies your environment. It in its essence ought to keep you confident, trusting and actively expectant because it fills the earth as water covers the sea. This is a word of encourgement for you because of the order of this present age.
There is so much gloominess and darkness in the earth that seek to shuffle God's undestructible life out of you. Your reach for hope is being attacked.
One of the effects of darkness is the covering of true and original appearances of objects. In humans, it will make you see only the negative sides of life. Life looses its beauty, vitality, peace, hope and color. This in turn affects your performance and result.
In Romans 4:18, it was said concerning Abraham that against and contrary to hope, he belived in hope. What was against his hope? What was contrary to his hope? Why was Abraham still believing in hope? Why was he fully expectant and confident despite all odds? He was alive. Hope is for people that are alive. Please, stay alive! He had fellowship with the living. Please, do not live an isolated life! Develop and consciously pursue godly relationships. Despite the darkness, he was able to lay hold of the hope which was present in the environment.
It seems to me that you have to choose either to lay hold of the hope in the environment which is available to you because you are alive or to go with the overwhelming darkness that wants to make opaque the sight of your glorious destiny.
What will you choose? Hope is available for you. There is hope for you in this life. You do not have to keep living a despondent life. Nothing is lost until you are dead and even in death your hope can still make you alive. While your breath last and even if you are at death's gate, there is still hope. Put strongly, even in death, there is still hope.
Hope makes you not to be ashamed. Hope breaks the walls of gloominess and let light come through to you. What will you choose?
Will you choose to keep your hope alive or you will allow it to die out?
